Community Requests

Are you in the St. Louis region and interested in working with students or faculty from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts? Please complete this form to receive more information:

>>Community Request Form

This form is the first step in engaging with our faculty and students. The School does not arrange or provide professional services, but there are opportunities to work with faculty or students. Most requests are posted on the St. Louis Projects and Part-Time Work page, where interested individuals can browse them and be in touch.

Please note that we do not support or publicize spec work, as defined by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA). We also follow the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) policy on unpaid internships. Please review the Department of Labor standards for unpaid internships, as well as guidelines from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Students are not licensed professionals, and are unable to provide certain services as a result.

Lead time for working with a faculty member or a class can be 3 to 6 months. It is difficult for us to share opportunities with students during winter and summer breaks (December, January, and April through July).

Once you have completed this form, someone will follow up with you within one week with next steps. If you have questions, contact Liz Kramer at kramer@wustl.edu
